Two scoops

March 27, 2017

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. We’re ready for spring break around here! Woohoo!

Is there anything better than being able to walk to the local ice cream shop on a pretty Saturday evening?

Art Show

March 23, 2017

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, a piece of Maxwell’s art was chosen to hang in the local library for the month of March. A piece from each grade was selected and we were so excited that Maxwell’s drawing got to represent Kindergarten! They had a little reception for the kids on Tuesday night. Maxwell had to leave baseball practice early to go but I think he was glad he went…especially since they had cookies and punch!

I thought Maxwell’s pig was perfectly perfect!

They handed out certificates to all the artists which was neat.

It was a nice time celebrating our little artist!

Batter up!

March 21, 2017

It’s baseball season again! Maxwell played T-ball last year and this year moves up to coach pitch. They had their first games this weekend and actually had one on Saturday and one on Sunday to make up for spring break next week. I have to say, baseball has never been my favorite sport…at all. But, I LOVE watching Maxwell out there. He looks so sharp in his uniform and I love to watch him paying attention and trying to make a play…it’s fun.

Saturday was our first time out to the fields at the high school and we snuck in and took a little picture on one of the big fields…

Maxwell is #9 and had two great hits – hit 1 and hit 2 – during the Saturday game and he also got to play pitcher which was awesome. He had several good stops and throws to first for an out!

Most importantly, he had a lot of fun!

On Sunday, Susan and Barry nicely agreed to be the designated spectators at baseball while Robert and I went to Spencer’s first soccer game. Maxwell had 3 more great hits and got to play shortstop!

Spring ball – here we come!! Let’s go Cardinals, let’s go!!

Btw, I’m clearly taking more pictures of Samantha these days than anyone else (can you blame me?!). The middle grid is all her! 🙂

Make it a great day!
