Fairytale celebration
Another Maycember event? The 2nd grade Fairytale Celebration at school! Each of the second graders wrote their own exaggerated fairytale and the parents got to come up and read the stories and stay for cake and treats. Maxwell’s book, Chicken Big, was very creative!
I was in charge of getting our class’s cake and it had to be 3 Little Pigs…

Field Day
Maycember is in full force including Spencer’s Kindergarten water day on Thursday of last week and Field Day on Friday! Like last year we invited all of the boys from Maxwell’s class over to get decked out in their color before school. This year was double the fun because we also had all the boys from Spencer’s class! We had a yard full of crazy boys getting faces painted, hair sprayed, and eating lots of doughnut holes! Doesn’t get much better than that!
It was a hot and sunny day out on that field but both boys competed hard! Neither class came out as the big winner but that doesn’t matter because you still get a popsicle, win or lose!
What a fun year it has been!
Mother’s Day
I had a wonderful mother’s day with lots of sweet gift from all my babies! They all made me super gifts from school…
and I even got to go up to Spencer’s class for the Mother’s Day tea! Just like when Maxwell was in Kindergarten, they went all out! They sang about 6 songs and had a full plate of goodies and a rose for every mom! It was the sweetest and I sure do love my blue eyed boy.
I got the best Mother’s Day gift – a new bag for the baseball park! – and the most awesome handprint bowl from Susan and, of course, the fantastic stepping stones for outside! I love them! We even all went out to brunch despite the pouring rain.
Momma is my favorite thing to be!
