Time for your checkup!
I took the boys up for their annual checkup on Monday. They were thrilled…
ha! But, 8 and 10 year old visits are pretty easy. No shots, no nothing really – especially when you are healthy and growing like these boys!
Maxwell is 54.5 inches tall (41st %)and 65.8 lbs (27th %). Maxwell grew 2.5 inches and gained 8 lbs! Dr. Walley was super impressed with his growth and said the year between 9 and 10 doesn’t usually show this much growth so that’s a great sign for Maxwell! Hooray! I think it was all that football conditioning! 🙂
Spencer is 51 inches tall (50th %) and 58.2 lbs (55th %). That’s a gain of 2 inches and 5 lbs from last year. Also impressive! Maxwell at age 8 was 50 inches tall and 52.4 lbs so quite a bit lighter.
They are both steadily growing just as they should. Will be interesting to see who ends up taller!

Saturday night
On Saturday night, Robert went to watch the Alabama game with some friends and Maxwell went to ride go carts for his friend’s birthday!
The rest of us decided to have an Ss only dinner!
I couldn’t ask for better dates on a Saturday night!
Oh Christmas Tree!
Last week after school, the kids and I went up to get our tree! We wanted to wait for Robert but it gets dark so early and the tree lots were starting to look sparse so we just went for it. I’m glad we did because I think we got the last 9 foot tree on the lot. It was a beauty though!
While we were standing at the tree lot, Spencer looked over at me with his tooth in his hand! ha! He said it just fell out.
Love that kid.
That night we got all the lights and ornaments on and, well…I think it’s the best one yet!!
We also have our upstairs tree that Samantha helped me decorate…
and plenty of other decorations inside and out!

70!
This weekend we are celebrating a big birthday! Daddo is 70!! Woohoo!
He’s always been the very best Daddy…
and the most awesome Daddo…
and we so wish we could celebrate him in person today but will see him soon. We love you Daddo and hope you have a zip-a-dee-doo-da kind of day!!
