Maxwell got the opportunity to go to the lake a few weekends ago with his friend, Gray. Let’s just say he’s ready to go back!!

He also got up on the ski board on his first try!! Go Maxwell Go!

All 3 kids are doing swim team again this year. It’s back to regular schedule with both a morning and afternoon practice. You can go to either or both – there have been many days my kid have gone to both! They really enjoy it and it’s so great for them so I am happy to get them up there for it! Friday is popsicle day so that’s always an extra incentive to go at the end of the week…

On Friday they also give the award for Guppy of the Week for the younger kids and Swimmer of the Week for the older kids. Guess who got Guppy of the Week last week?!

Go Samantha go!! She has worked so hard and was at practice twice a day I think every day that week! Hard work pays off for sure. We also did a mock meet to get some practice in for the first real swim meet and all 3 kids did great. Samantha was even a heat winner!

We love swim team!
Rewinding it back to last month before school was out…
Maxwell’s class finally got to go on some field trips! They went to Vulcan and also to the zoo…

Fun! Spencer didn’t get to to go on a field trip but the zoo came to him…

Whoa! School sure was fun..but summer is more fun!
On Saturday we drove up to North Carolina to drop Maxwell off at camp. These kids had no fun at all together in the hotel the night before…

We all went out to dinner that night and walked around the downtown Riverwalk area of Greenville, SC. It was pretty cool!

We got up nice and early the next morning to head up the mountain for drop off! Thanks to covid, no parents got to get out of the car or walk into camp. We just had to basically drop and run. I will say that the whole process went very smooth and was quick and easy.

I got a little teary when it was time for Maxwell to get out of the car but then we realized that it was one of his counselors helping the kids out so that was a good distraction!

I later found out his counselor is from Mountain Brook, is neighbors with one of my best friends, and that he’s a smart, really cool kid – and an Alabama fan! I’d say Maxwell is in very good hands! Off he goes for 3 weeks fun and adventure!

Now I’m off to stalk to photo site every day for glimpses of my favorite 10 year old!
The kids and I took a trip down to Naples over Memorial Day weekend. We had to get in a visit before Maxwell took off for camp!

We did all of our favorite things like hang with GJ (who got her hair done multiple times!)…

Take our usual picture…

Swim in the ocean…

Jump on the trampoline…

Get smoothies on the beach…

Throw the football…

Eat at Skillets – and celebrate a lost tooth!…

and just enjoy being in Naples!

Thanks for the fun GJ and Daddo!

See you again soon!
