4D Farms

After we got back from Augusta we still had Monday off of school for Columbus day so decided to try and have a little fun! Along with some friends we drove out to 4D Farms and it definitely delivered the fun! It was a beautiful fall day with plenty of stuff to do!

Other adventures not pictured – pig races, giant lemonades and churros, and a very large and windy corn maze that Spencer and Jude got lost in! ha!

It was a really fun fall day that we all needed!

More birthday celebrations

For my birthday Robert nicely made dinner reservations! Woohoo! We went out to Bricktop’s on Tuesday night because Wednesday was football and Thursday was cheerleading! I didn’t care when we went out and was just glad we got to go!

I was even good enough to get a few presents including this just right coffee mug that Maxwell picked out all by himself! Sweet boy.

Robert got me a crockpot. Thankfully he also got me a very, very nice piece of jewelry to go with the crockpot!  🙂 Not sure I had been good enough for that but I’m not complaining!! My crew sure does love me and makes me feel special on my special day! Lucky me!

Augusta

We made the drive to Augusta on Friday afternoon and had what really was a great weekend with family, all things considered. The cousins all got to hang out…

The kids left their mark in Augusta by carving their initials into a tree in Susu’s yard. Love it.

The service for Susu was lovely. We just did a graveside service and the sun was shining with a nice breeze. There was quite a crowd and it was so nice to hear from people how beloved Susu was.

There is lots of cleaning out to do in her house and while it is a lot of work, it was fun to open drawers and unearth some treasures. One treasure we found was her wedding dress – the dress that she made herself in 1946! Wow! Also, Susu was tiiiiiny! I could get it on – barely – but it wasn’t zipping up!

GJ is carrying the weight of cleaning out the house and working so hard to get it all done. I don’t know how she does it all but I sure am proud of her and wish I could help some more.

Overall it was a nice weekend celebrating the one and only Susu! I think she’d be proud that we even managed to get this crew to pose for a big ole family photo!
