School Stuff

March 31, 2022

Got this picture of Maxwell at school when I was helping with yearbook photos…

and look at this cute crew!

1st grade

Samantha brought home her book about soccer and it was awesome and informative!

And I loved Spencer’s story on parasailing!

I had the kids’ teacher conferences last week and all got GLOWING reviews. I mean, truly glowing. They’re smart, they’re respectful, they’re well-rounded. How did I get so lucky?!

Campout

March 29, 2022

Last weekend Maxwell went on his first official Boy Scout campout!

They got to go explore a cave and it sounded pretty cool. I think it’s safe to say this crew can have fun just about anywhere.

Robert had to miss out on this campout to stay home and coach Maxwell’s baseball game that he missed! Ugh. But, there will be many more campouts in the future for these two to do together. Maxwell had a great time and seems to be excited about his new troop!

Just a dusting

March 23, 2022

About two weeks ago we woke up to just a dusting of snow! But it did give the kids a chance to try out their new ski clothes!

One final (hopefully!) spring freeze!

Sick

March 22, 2022

Well…things were really nice two weekends ago until they weren’t! Maxwell was out with friends on Saturday night so Robert and I took the Bobbseys for dinner and ice cream. I mean…look how cute?!

And Spencer with that C is for Cookie ice cream as blue as his eyes!

Unfortunately, we got to see that blue ice cream again all over his bed and carpet around midnight. The stomach bug hit and hit hard! It was disastrous…but we handled it. We even rented a steam cleaner Sunday morning and miraculously saved his carpet. WOW. He does have a new mattress now though! Poor, poor Spencey. He was so sick.

On Tuesday I got the dreaded call from the school nurse and Samantha came home looking like this…

sick

Uh oh. Yep, she got hit too but thankfully hers was much milder than her brother’s. I was also prepared so kept everything contained.

By Wednesday we were hoping the worst was behind us…but no. I started feeling off but tried to power through and go to Spencer’s baseball game. That was a mistake. I left a lot of myself at the ballpark that night. It was a loooong night and truly the sickest I ever remember feeling. Pure misery. Not quite a week later and I’m much better but still not 100%. I’ll get there.

Fingers crossed Maxwell and Robert escape it! Go away germs!
