Easter

April 6, 2021

What a wonderful Easter day! 73 and sunny and a day spent with my favorite little bunnies! The Easter bunny brought all kinds of goodies and lots and lots of candy filled eggs were hidden in the yard thanks to the help of some enterprising high school boys…I mean the Easter Bunny. 😉 We got all dressed up and went to the club for lunch. It’s been so long since we got dressed up and it sure was nice to see my crew looking so sharp! Spencer looked extra springy and Maxwell looked very handsome in his pink shorts and sportcoat! Sharp indeed! Samantha won the day though – she wore an old dress of mine that GJ had made and the yellow on her was perfection! We curled her hair and I don’t think she’s ever looked prettier!

Happy hunting!

April 5, 2021

We had lots of fun opportunities to hunt Easter eggs on Saturday. We started the day at simultaneous soccer and baseball games but made a quick change into some of our Easter finest to hop over to the club and hunt some eggs!

Robert actually ditched us to go to a golf lesson but that was ok. We were glad he got to play golf and we had plenty of friends to hang with!

Christmas Day

January 8, 2021

We started the day bright and early…well, actually kind of dark and early…and couldn’t wait to see if Santa came!

xmas morning

Good news, he definitely showed up! Boy, oh boy did he show up!! The boys scored some hoodies, a baby Yoda, Nintendo games, golf clubs, and all kinds of surprises. Samantha racked up with LOLs, makeup, and even the robot cat she wanted.

All three got a new chair for the playroom, giant candy, and even a foosball table and a Pop-A-Shot! which are still to be put together. Thanks, Santa. 😉

I must have been very good this year because this giant package that these elves pulled out of its hiding place was for me!

This head elf even wrapped it all by himself! I was impressed!!

xmas

It was a new computer and a very happy Christmas for me, indeed! Just when all the presents were unwrapped and everything was winding down, I pulled out one more surprise and told the kids to go to the front room to check for one more present. I decided they had also been very good this year and deserved the two big presents they added – at the last minute! – to their lists. Samantha got the LOL airplane and the boys got the Occulus Quest 2 VR set. I had some very happy and very excited kids!!

We then spent the day at home with just us 5 which was obviously very different but also really nice. The kids stayed in their pjs until mid-afternoon and Robert and I took our time cooking a good meal. No one was forced to pick up their toys or put on a collared shirt and everyone was able to just relax and play. While we missed seeing family, we tried to focus on the positives!

Christmas Eve

January 7, 2021

Let’s get around to recapping Christmas! First, this ornament that I had ordered at the end of November was finally delivered by the USPS on December 23rd…just in the St. Nick of time!

mask

After the kids got out school on the 18th we just hung at home, did last minute Christmas projects, and got ready for the big day! Christmas Eve was no exception. We made shrinky dinks…

xmas

wore matching Christmas tops (again)…

and very attentively watched church online! 🙂

We made burgers and hot dogs for Christmas Eve dinner and enjoyed being all tucked safe inside our house.

Then it was time to put out cookies….

Christmas fun

January 6, 2021

After school got out on the 18th, we stayed basically quarantined but still managed to have some fun! We played Zoom dog bingo with some of our besties…

and Samantha and I obviously loved being twins like last year!  🙂

On the 23rd, we took advantage of the nice weather and played 9 holes of golf! Yes, we actually played all 9. Well, Robert and Spencer played all 9. Maxwell and I played most of 7 and Samantha…well she’s working on her putting and really likes riding in the golf cart!
