4th of July

July 8, 2024

So much to catch up on – Maxwell’s 3 weeks at Falling Creek, Spencer’s 2 weeks at McCallie – but today we’ve got some festive pics from Independence Day! This was our first 4th of July in Birmingham since 2019! We definitely missed fireworks at GJ’s but it was fun to have a pool day and hang out with friends!

Dad is always the fun one in the pool!

and Maxwell tapped out early in the hot dog eating contest – thank goodness!

That night after grilling some burgers at our house, we went over to watch the Vulcan fireworks with some friends. They were neat but, as Daddo said, once you’ve seen the fireworks at Disney World, everything else pales in comparison!

Of course, this little firecracker is all we need for some excitement! ha!

When we got home the kids finally got to see what all fun stuff the bunny brought and then Maxwell and Robert went to play golf and I went to play tennis where I won the golden bunny!

A fantastic Easter all around!

Easter

April 2, 2024

We had a wonderful Easter day with the most gorgeous spring weather! Saturday, Samantha and Violet had some fun dyeing eggs…

and the bunny did come Easter morning! Though he wrapped everything up so the kids couldn’t open it all and check it out until after lunch.

That was for the best because we had an early morning getting out the door to church.

Both boys served as acolytes at the 9am service and did an excellent job.

We were happy to see lots of buddies at church…

Valentine’s Day

February 14, 2024

First, yesterday went well and Samantha’s big yucky tonsils – and adenoids! – are gone! She’s pitiful but recovering. I think a day full of hearts and love – and maybe some ice cream too! – will make her feel better!

She took her Valentines to school on Monday and they were Taylor Swift themed, of course!

Spencer took the same Valentine he and Maxwell have taken the past few years – why mess with success?!
