First, good luck to Robert this morning on his AL Real Estate Sales Person Licensing exam!! He’s on his way to being a bona-fide commercial broker. You’ll do great, Robert!

Second, Do you guys read Darby’s blog? She hasn’t been posting as much lately but I always enjoy seeing pictures of her cute kids when she does. Also, if we ever build a new house, her sister Erika from Urban Grace Interiors will definitely be decorating the whole place!

Darby started a cute line of t-shirts called Honey Bee Tees that she sells online and I ordered two for Maxwell. Darby draws all of the designs and gets them printed onto high-quality tees. I’ve loved them so much I decided to make them this week’s Friday Favorite.

We went for the dump truck…

and the fire engine. No surprise there, right?!

Maxwell is 19 months and we got the size 2. They fit perfectly with room to grow over the summer.

I love how these tees are just cute enough but not too sweet.

Perfect for my sweet-as-pie, rough and tumble little boy! They are a nice, thick cotton (I think they are American Apparel tshirts) and hold up great. She also has adult tshirts and other items like tote bags and water bottles.

Warning – wearing these cute Honey Bee tees might make you just too cool for school…

🙂 Have a great weekend everyone!

See you Monday!

Would love to hear from you! 4 Comments

We’ve been watching even more Sesame Street than usual this past week and we all (me, Robert, Maxwell and Susan) love this DVD set of clips from episodes over the last 40 years.  It’s so fun to see the Sesame Street of “olden days”…before the Street was majority Elmo!  It’s been so neat to see that Maxwell is just as enthralled with the clips from the 1970’s and 80’s as he is with the episodes of today. I just wish they would release full episodes from all the years – I would definitely buy those!

Our DVD’s came courtesy of Maxwell’s Aunt Jenny, Uncle Ronnie and cousins Katie and Anna.  We love these DVD’s and highly recommend them to anyone with a Sesame Street loving kid!

We’ve got some fun plans this weekend to go out to Barber Motorsports to see the Indy Cars race!  Full report next week.

I’ll send you off into the weekend with an iphone dump…

Have a great weekend!

Friday Favorite

March 2, 2012

Today’s Friday Favorite was a Christmas gift from Aunt Nancy Ellis and Uncle Charlie.  It gets played with every. single. day. these days.  It’s Mr. Potato Head.  Correction – it’s the entire Mr. Potato Head Family packaged in an even bigger Mr. Potato Head!

That’s a lot of Potato Heads!  Check it out on Amazon here.

I know, I know…everyone says you should stay away from starchy carbs.  But, Maxwell doesn’t care…he just wants his Mr. Potato Heads!

Can’t you tell how excited he is?  🙂

Seriously, he loves these things and dumps out every little piece every day.  It’s great for his fine motor skills too.

Some of the potatoes that we I make look pretty normal…

and some of the potatoes that we Maxwell makes look…well…not normal.

I’ve actually had fun playing with this too.  I never had a Mr. Potato Head as a kid and kinda remember always wanting one.  I don’t know why I didn’t just ask for one?  It just seemed like one of those toys that other kids had and I didn’t.  Not anymore though!  I’ve got all the Potato Heads I want!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Moo!  Oink!  Neigh!  Typical sounds around here these days.  Maxwell is really into playing with his farm animals so today’s Friday Favorite is all about the farm…a Farm Animal Trifecta if you will!

First up is the Little People Barn.  This was a Christmas gift from GJ and Daddo and Maxwel loves it.  It gets played with daily.

*side note – we never put the batteries in ours and I honestly forgot that it was supposed to make animal noises.  It’s perfectly fun while silent!

Second up is the Melissa & Doug Farm Animals puzzle.  This one is definitely not silent!  The puzzle makes the noise of the animal when you put the puzzle piece in the correct spot.

Third up is the beloved SeeNSay!  It has every animal sound you can imagine.

Maxwell has gotten so good at knowing his animals thanks to these 3 toys.  He’s also pretty good at oinking these days…although he prefers the more authentic snorting sound to just saying oink. Guess he just likes to keep it real.

Wishing you all a great weekend from our funny farm to yours!  Mooooooo!

Today’s Friday Favorite are my beloved snack traps.  Likey nothing new to you moms out there but, if you’re a mom and you don’t know about these – well, go buy one today. These things are genius.  You can fill them with any snack you want and they’re totally spill-proof.  We have several around and fill them with everything from yogurt melts to goldfish to apple bits.  They go with us in the stroller and to restaurants.  Maxwell loves getting his snack out and I love that they keep things relatively mess-free!

There’s tons of different types but we have the Munchkin snack traps and love them.
