Clap clap clap!

We sing and clap pattycake to Maxwell all the time. We also cheer and clap after he does just about anything.  It shouldn’t come as a surprise that, as of yesterday, Maxwell has mastered the art of clapping on his own thanks to a little lesson from Susan. Maxwell loves to clap his little hands together!

Yes, this would be much better in a video but here’s some still photos…just scroll really fast!  🙂

He’ll be singing Pattycake to himself in no time!

I actually have a super cute video of him clapping but, after 45 minutes trying to figure out how to embed my flickr video into this post, I still can’t figure it out.  If you know how to do this, tell me!

Sippy Cup

After trying for about 2 weeks now, Maxwell has finally figured out how to get the juice out of the sippy cup!  hooray!  He still needs a little help to tilt the cup up but he’s getting there!

Of course he also likes to chew on all parts of the cup…

and the dish towel!

More Easter

We woke in Montgomery on Easter and had a great time getting to visit all morning.  We then got dressed up in our Easter finest!  Maxwell loved his little sailor outfit and kept saying “Ahoy!” all day.  🙂

After that picture, I put my big camera up and didn’t get it out the remainder of the day. I just needed a little camera break.  I clearly can’t cut myself off 100%  though because I continued to snap away with my point & shoot and phone camera!

Look who sat in a high chair the entire time and didn’t fuss one bit!

He really was SO good all weekend long.  Such a little happy guy!

At lunch we gave him his first cracker to suck on…

He wasn’t exactly a fan!  Maybe he’s a sweet and not a salty?  His favorite thing about the cracker was being able to crush it in his hands!

Katie and Anna were also all dolled up in their Easter frocks…

After lunch we headed back to Robert’s parents house to hang out.  Here’s some pics from my phone to round out the afternoon.

We headed back to Birmingham late Sunday afternoon and Maxwell was just worn out from all the fun…

I hope you had a wonderful first Easter sweet boy!  You were so good all weekend and charmed everyone with your cute dimples.  We can’t wait to see you hunt some eggs next year!!

Sweet cheeks

Last week we started giving Maxwell a 3rd serving of baby food per day. I definitely think he’s hungry enough for it. If it also helps to keep his cheeks this chubby, I’m all for it!

Rollin’, rollin’, rollin’

Keep them babies rollin’!  Maxwell is officially rolling over ALL THE TIME.  Last week, Susan decided to have a little PT session with him.  She basically gave him a few little nudges that showed him he can roll over by himself.  Since that day,  he rolls back and forth from back to belly and belly to back and over and over all the time.  He’s on the move!

This is the point where we all clap and say “Yaaaaay Maxwell!”   Then, if we’re lucky he’ll reward us with a funny face…
