Zzzzzzz

August 7, 2015

TGIF! Ok, I think I can talk about this now without jinxing it. Samantha is sleeping through the night! Woohoo!! It’s been a week and I am so happy she finally decided to snooze all night long!

Last Friday, she woke up around 3:00 am and I left her. In the past when I left her I would finally go in after she cried for an hour but, that night, she only cried about 30 minutes and then went back to sleep until 6:30 am. Awesome. Since then, she’s stopped waking up at night and sleeps from around 7pm to 6:30am. Yay! She’s had a few little wakeups here and there but if I just leave her, she’ll get herself back to sleep. Both of her brothers were doing this by 5 months so it was about time she made the leap too!

Sitting up!

July 28, 2015

As I mentioned yesterday, sweet Samantha is doing so good sitting up on her own!

Momma, look! I’m up! I’m sitting up!

sitting

Can you believe I can hold myself up even with these heavy, chubby cheeks?!

sitting

Whoa….

sitting

Whoooooa….

sitting

And I’m still up! yes!

sitting

Whooosh!

Whoa, what was that?!

sitting

Momma, did you see that?!

sitting

But, hey, I’m STILL sitting up!

sitting

Go me!

sitting

Uh oh, here he comes back again. Move brother! I’m trying to sit up!

sitting

Now I’m surrounded. Guess I better get used to this!

sitting up

Phew, this sitting up business is exhausting. I gotta take a rest.

fruity

July 22, 2015

We haven’t started feeding Samantha real food yet, but last week we did give her a little taste of an orange! We had some orange slices at dinner so just handed her one and she was hilarious. The faces she was making were cracking us up. She wasn’t quite so sure of it at first but ended up really liking it and did quite a good job eating all that orange!

Sitting

July 9, 2015

Look who was sitting up by herself two weeks ago!

sitting

Now, I think I just somehow got her balanced exactly right and she was able to hold herself up with her hands in a kind of tripod position…but still!

She was sitting up and she was pretty proud!

Tot Lot

July 8, 2015

We haven’t been to the tot lot much lately but we made it over there on a beautiful afternoon recently for Samantha to get her first turn in the swings! She had the best pusher around!

Maxwell was pretty proud that he was getting to push his baby sister…and baby sister loved it too!

Love these sweet, still kinda baby chubby hands on Maxwell.
