We had a special visitor!

But, like always, her visits are too quick. Come back soon, GJ! These two boys miss you!

Have a great day!

We had a special visitor!

But, like always, her visits are too quick. Come back soon, GJ! These two boys miss you!

Have a great day!
After plenty of visiting, it was time for lunch and cake. Lunch was some pork and turkey from the newly opened Urban Cookhouse in Crestline as well as some rice and green beans made by me and deviled eggs made by GJ. The cake? The cake was by Olexa’s and it was just as good as it always is!

See that one cupcake with orange icing? A special request from my orange loving 3 year old!

Thanks for getting that awesome picture GJ!
Spencey didn’t know what was coming but he was excited anyway!

Luckily he had big brother to help him blow out that candle!

We put the cake in front of him and he took a few little bites at first…

but it didn’t take him long to really dig in…

and then start double fisting!

Yep, I’d say he was a big fan of the cake! yay!

Meanwhile, everyone else was enjoying the cupcakes…

and Maxwell gave his orange one a big thumbs up!

After cake came presents! Well, actually after cake came a bath for Spencer but then presents! Not surprisingly, Spencer had a lot of help from Maxwell when opening his gifts…

Poor baby hardly got to touch anything at first! But, he got himself up in there and got his hands on those toys!

Thank you everyone for all the sweet gifts! Toys, books, bath toys…it’s good to be Spencer (and Spencer’s big brother!) these days! After presents, the big kids headed outside to play. I peeked out there and saw these three stooges up to all kinds of adventures…

and even though Spencey had new fun toys inside, all he wanted to do was get outside with the big kids!

The birthday boy gets what he wants so outside he went! And he even got pushed around by all the big kids!

I’d say it was a pretty good day for Mr. Spencer! Thanks again to all the family that made the trip! We loved having you here to help us celebrate!

Happy Birthday Spencer!
For Spencer’s first birthday we had a little family birthday party, just like we did for Maxwell – here and here.

Decorations were easy with wrapping baby and balloons…

and a display of all of his monthly photos! I loved looking at them all together to see how he’s changed…

We tried to get Spencer to wear the 1 crown…

but that lasted about 2 seconds before big brother snatched it off his head!

Crown or not, the birthday boy loved having everyone over to celebrate his big day!

Not so sure how he felt about that choke hold! 🙂 Still, he got plenty of loving from everyone…

Maxwell loved getting to play with Katie and Anna…especially when Katie nicely agreed to play fire trucks!

and Maxwell also loved getting to do his favorite activity – jumping on GJ!

While I think everyone enjoyed getting to visit for a while…

I know they were all ready for cake! Especially Spencey! Come back tomorrow for some major baby cake face! 🙂
On Sunday of last weekend we had a little family party for this birthday boy…

Things got a little crazy! ha! Not really, but we did have fun! Lots of party pictures to come but, before the party, we had a fun weekend. Spencer got a present from Mrs. Susan…

Jack in the Box!

Robert got his belated birthday present when we got to go to to the AL/AR game while GJ and Daddo kept the boys!

We had a great time and even got to sit in the President’s Box thanks to Ronnie.

VIP ya’ll! It was really cool and we didn’t even care that the game wasn’t a game at all. Alabama 54, Arkansas 0! Roll Tide!
We finished the weekend with a present for Maxwell – GJ brought him a kit to make a Woody Pumpkin!

(please look at Spencey on his tip toes trying so hard to get up there and help!)

Howdy! See you tomorrow with party pics!
Soccer on Sunday was a little out of the ordinary because several kids were out of town for the Columbus Day weekend (I never knew that was such a big holiday with all the schools out?!). But, we weren’t going to miss because we had our special cheerleader, GJ, in tow! We were the first ones there and Maxwell had fun warming up with Coach Robert…

Then Nate showed up and they had even more fun together!

Then Gray showed up and that took us to only 3 Blue team members by game time. But, the team we were supposed to play only had 1 player and no coach! Well, 1 player and then her older brother who was ready to play. So, we combined with another group that was also short players (and also happened to have one team of blue shirts too!). We played double blue against green/orange and it worked out great.

I don’t know what switched in Maxwell’s head but he just got out there and ran all over that field from the beginning of the game to the end!

He was having a blast charging up and down that field!

And whenever there was a pile-up on the ground, Maxwell would sit down too even when he wasn’t in the pile-up. Hilarious.

Spencey was having a great time hanging out under the umbrella with GJ!

The game was a little challenging for our kids because the 5 year old brother dominated the game. Dominated. He shouldn’t have been out there honestly. Oh well.

That said, everyone still had fun and Nate even gave that 5 year old a little run for his money a few times! By the end of the game, Maxwell was red-cheeked and sweaty…

He ran his little heart out that whole game and I could not have been more proud!
Only one more game to go!
