Happy Birthday GJ!! We think you’re the BESTEST!

We love you!
My parents got into town on Thursday of last week and Maxwell couldn’t wait to open his birthday presents from GJ and Daddo! We’re clearly going with a “rescue vehicle” theme this birthday and GJ and Daddo supplied him with plenty of police gear…

He also got Chase from Paw Patrol (basically Maxwell’s favorite gift ever)!

Not to be left out, Spencey got his own police car and hat too! The fire chief jacket worked just fine as his police jacket.

It wasn’t long before Maxwell the policeman gave us all a ticket and put us under arrest!

As I said on Instagram, I’ve always felt like I live in Mayberry and now I have my very own Andy Taylor and Barney Fife! ha!

See you tomorrow!
Happy Monday! Today is the first day of school! While it definitely does not feel like back to school fall weather (it feels like 103 degrees to be exact), we’re ready nonetheless. We’ve got our new red shoes, and now we’ve got back to school haircuts!
Maxwell got his cut a week ago Thursday. Robert took him and he came home kind of looking like Justin Bieber circa 2010…

Rockin that front swoosh! Don’t worry, once it was brushed out, it looks just fine and is a great cut.
Spencer was supposed to go that day too but ended up “busting his whole mouf open” that afternoon so we postponed his a week. He got his cut on Friday and came out with a little Bieber of his own…

Cute boys, cute haircuts…and a little drool for good measure.

Alright school, we’re ready!
As I mentioned last week, Lulu had a birthday on the 4th. Well, today is Granddad’s birthday! It’s a special one this year – both turn 70! As a fun treat, Robert drove down to Montgomery on Saturday night and the 3 Brown kids took their parents out to dinner, just the 5 of them.

What a special night!
To Lulu and Grandad, we have one thing to say to 70…

Cheers!!
Happy Birthday!
After our Firetruck fun, we all attempted a nice lunch together with the kids…

While the food was nice, let’s just say we didn’t pick the most kid-friendly option in town! But, we survived.
Maxwell’s favorite part of lunch was getting to see sweet, baby Evelyn! He was so excited to see the little, bitty baby and it made me really excited for him to be a big brother again! 🙂

We spent the rest of the weekend just enjoying being in the mountains…

And we especially loved getting to hang out with Lulu and Granddaddy! Even better that we got to give Lulu a special birthday hug while we were there!! Happy Birthday Lulu!!!

Let’s do it again soon!
