Christmas Day

January 6, 2016

After Santa toys were played with and pancakes were eaten, we all got dressed and headed down to Montgomery to spend the day with Robert’s family. The weather was warm and muggy with plenty of rain – not great driving weather but we made it there and back with few issues, thank goodness. There were some tornado warnings for Birmingham that day so we’re thankful we didn’t get caught in any of it!

The cousins loved playing together…

and didn’t love posing for our pictures but did it anyway!  🙂

Samantha loved getting to check out baby Margaret…

She also loved getting plenty of attention from the grandparents…

And she especially loved eating anything she could get her hands on including crackers, pancakes, and cake!

In fact, all the kids enjoyed some cake (and not much else for lunch!) I think!

The adults had a delicious lunch prepared by LuLu…and some cake too…and some pie!  🙂 Robert and Ronnie obviously texted each other that morning about wearing their dark red checked shirts.

Granddaddy got the memo too. Twinkies!

Christmas Eve

January 4, 2016

Happy Monday! Back into the full swing of work – boo. But, who’s ready for some Christmas recaps?! me!

First up? Christmas eve! GJ, Daddo and Susu were all in town and that made it extra fun.

Robert, the kids, and I went to the noon service up at church. We were all looking pretty sharp so I had to get some pictures!

Love, love this family shot GJ took!

Please notice the bare legs and sleeveless dress. It was about 75 and muggy! ugh! The boys did great in church. Samantha actually did really well too. She just preferred having me or Robert stand and hold her versus sitting in the pew!  🙂

That night we had a traditional Christmas Eve dinner of burgers 😉 and then opened special presents from GJ and Daddo!

The boys got new iPads! I helped GJ get them all filled up with new movies, games and apps to play with. I even put a picture of a tiger as Maxwell’s screen saver and a picture of a lion on Spencer’s! They thought that was pretty awesome. We also got them the headphones for when we fly places but they thought they were so cool they just put them on right then!

It was a wonderful Christmas eve…

and truly a silent night!  🙂

Dentist, playdates, and NYE

December 31, 2015

Lots of fun stuff happened over the past week or so and I’m just going to go in order to get through it all. First up? The ever so exciting and fun dentist visit! ha!

On the 21st, the boys had their teeth all checked out and did great…even if Spencer didn’t love getting his teeth cleaned!

Great reports from the dentist are always welcome!

On the 23rd, Maxwell got to have a little Christmas playdate and Max, James, and Lila came over to play and have lunch. They all had a great time…and especially loved it when Susan popped up some Jiffy Pop for them!

They were quite the crew all piled up together on the couch.
