and I carried that heavy baby 90% of the way! Phew!

But it was all worth it once we got to the top….

Holiday happenings around here….
Maxwell had his Christmas program at school last week on Wednesday and Thursday. Sadly, I had to go to San Francisco for work and had to miss it. But, I was able to go to the dress rehearsal on Tuesday and had a front row seat!

Maxwell did great. He stood perfectly still and sang his songs just like he was supposed to. No surprise there!

Thankfully Robert was Super Dad while I was gone and got to the school early to get a good seat for the main event…

He also went to Maxwell’s class Christmas party and took all 3 kids to basketball practice! A HUGE thanks to him and, of course, Mrs. Susan for keeping things running smoothly while I was gone.
Other holiday fun…

Holly Jolly!!
ps – your Christmas joke for the year, courtesy of Spencer…
What type of sandwich does Santa like? Peanut butter and Jolly!! hahahahaha!
WHAT?! It’s Daddo’s birthday??!!!! I’m so excited!!

What do you mean I don’t get to see him today? 🙁

Well, good thing I colored him this fantastic picture…

and so glad Spencer worked so hard on this picture for him…

and Maxwell made him a Millennium Falcon!

Happy Birthday Daddo!! Hope you have a zip-a-dee-doo-da kind of day! We love you!
Also, please go back and see the birthday cuteness from 2012 and 2011!
As I mentioned yesterday, we went up to Highlands, NC for Thanksgiving with Robert’s side of the family and had a great time. The kids got to hang out with some of their cousins, we all got to go on some hikes, and everyone ate plenty of good food!
Ready for the drive trip up on Wednesday!

We then had a great Thanksgiving with cousin time, turkey, and a post-meal hike to work off that pie!

Gobble gobble! More tomorrow!
On Saturday we celebrated our very favorite almost 4 year old!

Spencer’s birthday isn’t until the 18th but, October is so busy that the 8th ended up being the best day for his Incredible Hulk party. We followed our recent birthday party formula – balloons and bounce house in the backyard with doughnuts and plenty of friends and family! It was the best way to celebrate our happy little guy!

Ummm…please look at Baby’s mean face here! ha!

The kids had a blast in the cool bounce house which had a ball pit and a slide inside! They also loved Hulk Smashing each other with the Hulk hands! As always, the sand table was a huge hit. And, thanks to GJ, everyone got to take home their very own Hulk mask! We had a happy birthday boy and happy party goers for sure!

We brought out Spencer’s doughnut cake and sang to him and then he blew and blew and blew on those candles but just couldn’t get them out! We should have lifted him up a bit but then Maxwell came to the rescue which I’m not so sure if Spencer appreciated or not! I have to share all these pictures because the expressions on both Spencer and Maxwell’s faces are just too good….

Haha! Everyone needs a little help sometimes!
It was a fantastic morning celebrating our very own Incredible Spencer!

We love you sweet Spencey!! Cheers to FOUR!
