NYC

December 11, 2024

When we realized Samantha had a weekend with no basketball games or activities, we decided a little girls trip to the city was in order! We flew up VERY early on Friday morning…

and were in the city walking around by 11am!

I’m wondering if Trump was in NYC because they had half the street in front of Trump Tower blocked with a line of garbage trucks. Interesting!

Louis Vuitton looked like the Paris store!

Of course we had to have lunch at Bergdorf Goodman!

But major disappointment – they changed the menu in the downstairs cafe and took off the gotham salad! Travesty! We still had a good lunch though…lobster ravioli and a fantastic lemon tart made up for it!

It was COLD in the city and Samantha’s legs were freezing in her short jacket. After lunch we went shopping for a longer coat for her. We didn’t have much luck…

and ended up getting this inexpensive polka dot one that Samantha was NOT a fan of…but it was warm!

A trip to Sephora made things better!

We then went all the way to the Upper East to try and get some Roller Rabbit pjs but didn’t have any luck. We then headed back to the hotel to rest a bit before our show that night. All bundled up in Times Square…

and ready for Six!

The show was excellent! Divorced! Beheaded! Died! Divorced! Beheaded! Survived!

It was a great first day in NYC!

Merry merry!

Birthday

December 6, 2024

Today is my dad’s birthday – he would have been 74. Here we are in New York about 40 years ago…

I think a good thing to do today to celebrate him is to go to New York and hear the Mighty Wurlitzer at Radio City! Let’s go! Happy Birthday Daddo, we miss you.

Naples

December 2, 2024

After spending the last several years in the mountains for Thanksgiving, this year we left the cold behind and headed down to the beach instead! We left Tuesday afternoon…

and made it down there that night. We were glad to see GJ and glad to hit up the beach Wednesday!

This nice brother swam out to the sand bar with her when I wouldn’t!

We tried a new place for dinner that night and I won’t go back, but they did have this balloon arch so…there’s that!

The real question though…would turkey and dressing still taste as good at the beach?! Find out tomorrow!

Grandfriends Day

September 19, 2024

Last week Spencer and Samantha had the best visitors at school for Grandfriends Day! GJ and Lulu and Granddaddy all made the trip into town to spend a fun morning in their classrooms!
