Lots and lots of professional pictures from Maskers!

During the presentation…

The perfect little curtsy!

Time to party!

Please look at me and Samantha in the background! ha!

Samantha was a princess in the Maskers ball a few weeks ago. The ball is usually around Valentine’s Day but…covid. Everyone shifted and the ball got moved to summer which worked out just perfect for us! Samantha rode down to Montgomery on Friday with Mary Beth and Margaret because Spencer’s baseball team ended up getting much farther in the tournament than we expected and Robert and I didn’t want to miss his game. A big thanks to MB for getting Samantha where she needed to be!

These girls had a blast together and Samantha didn’t miss us one bit. They both did great at rehearsal.

The next night we all put on our very best and had a fun and fancy night out!!

Is Samantha not the prettiest princess you’ve ever seen?! She was pretty excited about the flower crown!

It was fun for her and Margaret to get to be princesses together!

Love my pretty princess!

Everyone was looking sharp and ready for a fun night!

Samantha did perfect in the presentation – her curtsy was on point! After the presentation, it was time to party! Samantha asked for a Coke and then hit the dance floor where she boogied and twisted and twirled until 11:00 pm!! This girl loves a dance floor just like her momma!! It was so fun to watch her have so much fun!!

Royalty! ha!

Ronnie even took her up front and center to get a good view of the band…

All danced out!

What a wonderful night celebrating our princess!

At the stroke of 11:00, Cinderella left the ball!

I have lots more professional pics to share tomorrow. A huge thank you to Lulu and Granddaddy for making this happen! What a special night to remember!
Pictures from when Spencer was in Maskers here and here. Pictures from Maxwell’s turn here and here.
Over the river and through the woods to Susu’s house we went! Well, we really just went through the clouds but we got there! We haven’t been able to see Susu since Christmas of 2019 so it was a long overdue visit. GJ figured out a way to get to Arkansas so we did too. The kids and I flew through Atlanta and into Little Rock and then rented a car to drive to Augusta – all worth it!

Susu is 98.5 and honesty still doing great. She can’t remember what she had for lunch and sleeps a lot but she’s very pleasant and happy to see people when they visit. She’s still living in her own house which is remarkable and wonderful! I have so many memories in that house and it sure was nice to be back.

We played lots and lots and lots of Uno…

and hit up the Bulldog. Can’t beat it.

One other exciting moment of the trip – a celeb sighting! On our flight from Atlanta to Little Rock there was a man sitting in first class (which was hardly even a first class on the tiny flight) who stayed on the plane until everyone else got off. We were then standing in the jetway waiting for our bags because the flight was so tiny you had to gate check any roller bags. I was looking at the guy and just knew I knew him. No one else recognized him but my pop culture senses were tingling. Yep, Vanilla Ice. We made eye contact and he knew I knew. Too cold, too cold. I didn’t stop him or say anything and will forever regret not speaking up and asking him to stop, collaborate and listen to me and take a selfie. Ice ice baby. But, I got to see Susu, the only celeb that really matters in my book.

We were so glad we were able to make the trip!
Happy Mother’s Day to the very best of the best! How else do you describe someone who drives 26 hours in a 48 hour time period just to watch two little league games and a soccer game? Yep, the best of the best!!

You can’t be beat GJ and we can’t wait to hug you again!!
Happy Mother’s Day to GJ, Susu, Lulu, Mrs. Susan and all the awesome moms in our lives!! We love you!
