While Maxwell’s birthday isn’t until this Sunday, we had his party this past weekend on Saturday. He wanted it to be Superhero themed and he wanted to be Batman!
Hooray for FIVE!
We actually all got into the spirit and had just about every Superhero represented!
We had Super GJ, Super Baby, Spiderman, Wonder Woman and The Incredible Hulk (he’s kind of a big deal!)!
We sure were excited to celebrate our favorite almost 5 year old Batman!! Stay tuned for the party pics tomorrow!
Happy Monday! We had a SUPER weekend around here. I guess when you’re turning 5, the birthday celebrations last well over a week! Well, at least they do for Maxwell. We had his birthday party on Saturday and I’ll tell you all about that tomorrow but, first up, his special Tiger party with Mrs. Susan! Mrs. Susan knows how to celebrate – tiger shirts, tiger cupcakes, tiger games, and AWESOME presents!
No, it wasn’t Spencer’s birthday too but, when you’re 2.5 you don’t really understand why your brother gets presents and you don’t! So, Spencey just got his birthday present from Mrs. Susan a few months early! 🙂 and he was VERY happy about it!
We then sang Happy Birthday to Maxwell and let him blow out his special “5” candle! Spence was just a little jealous about that…
so he got to blow one out too!
Please also note the little lion on his cupcake. Since Maxwell likes tigers best, Spencer has decided he likes lions best!
The party continued with a fun game of “pin the tail on the tiger!”
It was the perfect kick-off to the birthday celebrations and we can’t thank Susan enough for the fantastic party and the super duper trucks!!

First, happy birthday to Amy today! Hope it’s a great one with your cute family!
Second, As I mentioned yesterday, we had a small little family lunch to celebrate Spencer’s birthday. Even though our only guests were GJ, Daddo, Lulu and Grandaddy, I still had to make it look festive!
Our birthday boy was a little bit cranky at the beginning…
But, as they say, it was his party and…you know.
He cheered up though and we had a great time…
He got some awesome presents including a train engineer’s outfit and Thomas music book from Lulu, Paw Patrol toys from GJ, a monkey rain coat from Susu and a car ramp from me and Robert.
Robert and GJ got to put the car ramp together with plenty of helpers! 🙂
Once it was all assembled, Spencer was a happy camper.
It was then time for lunch and cookie cake! YUM! Spencey did a great job blowing out his candles!
It was a fun day for a special 2 year old!

After a fun Saturday in T-town, we woke up Sunday ready to celebrate Spencer’s birthday! I tried to snap some pics of my boys but Spencer wasn’t feeling it…he was too intent on showing his big brother who was boss that day!

I also tried to get a pic of them with me and, well…
Maybe next time! We ended up having a great little family birthday lunch for my favorite 2 year old. Pictures to come!
On Monday, Spencer put his “2”shirt back on to celebrate his birthday at school! For Maxwell’s 2nd birthday at school, we went with “lallow” cookies but Spencey is into trains right now so I made him some choo-choo cookies!
He was pretty excited that morning!
He had a great day at school…even if this is the best pic I got of him in his birthday crown…
