Just some cute pics of my cute boy…
He’s growing leaps and bounds every day, communicating more and making life so fun. I must say, I’m going to miss it being just me and him in about 5 weeks. I know BBB#2 is going to be perfect as well but…Maxwell will always be my first baby.
I guess the only thing better than getting to love on Maxwell is getting to love on Maxwell AND his baby brother! 🙂
Just like we did with Maxwell, Robert and I went up and did one of the 4D ultrasounds for BBB2. And, just like with Maxwell, we got a GREAT result! Let’s just say that I think BBB2 is going to be yet another Robert mini-me! 🙂
I’m 31 weeks and 4 days and they said that he’s measuring a few days big – 32 weeks and 1 day. We’ll see if he actually makes his debut early or not! They estimated him to be 4 lbs, 4 oz right now and he’s VERY active. He didn’t stop moving during the whole ultrasound – no surprise to me!! He’s been doing somersaults every day!
Warning – just like last time, some of you might find these pictures a bit freaky…but I think they’re really cool! It’s amazing how great the technology is…and even how much better it’s gotten in the last 2 years!

He then started to get a little tired and yawned…
and clearly indicated he wanted us to leave him alone! I think he flipped us the bird!! 🙂

Now for a little comparison. This is Maxwell on the left and BBB2 on the right…
Pretty darn similar, huh? I think the noses are slightly different – BBB2’s looks a little more turned up to me – but the mouth, cheeks, and face shape are all the same! Can’t wait to meet this little guy!!
In other news, we have a VERY exciting weekend ahead!! Maxwell turns TWO (what?!) next week so we’re having a little party this weekend. Family, cake and dump trucks…what more could a little boy want?! See you next week with lots of fun birthday posts!
So, BBB#2 is going to be here before we all know it! 2 months and 2 weeks and counting! I had another doctor appointment last week and all looks good. We’re getting the 4D ultrasound in just a few weeks and I can’t wait. We got such great pictures with Maxwell’s and I’m hoping for the same with these!
I’m still not sure if we’re all ready for #2 to arrive yet. I’ve still got lots to do on his room for one! That said, Susan is helping Maxwell get ready and it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. He found these two elephant stuffed animals in his closet and she’s been showing him how to treat them like his “ya-yas” (babies) for the past two weeks. He always wants to hold and rock one while making me hold the other and sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” It. is. precious.
BBB#2 might have to watch out though…Maxwell can get a little aggressive with his rocking! 🙂
He also has that purple paci with one of the elephants at all times…and has yet to put that paci in his own mouth! Amazing! I really can’t believe he hasn’t stuck that thing in his mouth! It’s all just so sweet, although we did have to have a little lesson about how there is a ya-ya in my belly but there’s not one in Dad’s belly or in his! 🙂
Can’t wait to meet #2!! Let’s all hope Maxwell loves his real ya-ya as much as his elephant ya-ya!

We had some people over for dinner Friday night and I made these lemon bars. Ina never fails. They were delicious – as dense as a brick – but delicious! I highly recommend you make them this week because, why not?
I had a doctor appointment last week and all looks good with BBB2. I’m guessing he’s growing just fine judging by the whopping 9 lbs I gained last month! whoa! I’m sure that had nothing to do with the vacation in FL either! I’m 25 weeks now and here’s the bump picture…
Of course that picture was before the lemon bars! 🙂 and don’t ask me what Maxwell was doing…I have no idea.
At Target on Saturday I got some Muppet bandaids (because I always leave Target with things I never knew I needed) and Maxwell had several boo-boos that needed healing…
including one on my arm…

Happy Friday! We went for the 20 week ultrasound yesterday for BBB2 and all looks good! All of his parts are growing just as they should…including the part that definitely shows he’s a BOY! 🙂 I can’t believe we’re halfway there already. It seems to be flying by…mainly because I’m so focused on Maxwell that I don’t have time to think about being pregnant. I can’t wait to meet this little guy and see if he’s like Maxwell, if he has red hair, if he’s laid back, if he’s got dimples…so fun!

Here I was at 21 weeks with Maxwell…
I feel a lot bigger at this point this time around but after looking at these pictures, maybe not.
This little guy is slowly starting to sort of understand the fact that there is a “ya ya” in my belly. We talk about it and he likes to give my belly kisses. The sweetest. As for whether or not he’s going to be ready to share the spotlight in 5 months…
Yea, that “excuse me?” face just about says it all! Things are going to change for my little buddy! All for the better I think! 🙂
