Happy Tuesday! On the boys’ first day of school, I mentioned I had also taken some pics of them on the front porch with my big camera. Well, just now getting around to sharing them…
Stinkers. I sure do love them and am so happy they’re loving school so far!
We had a fun weekend with Maxwell’s fantastic (and fantastically HOT!) firetruck birthday party at the house. Full pics to come but first catching up on a few other things…
Last week Spencer had his follow-up appointment with the dentist to check on his teeth after he “busted open his whole mouf.” The boys were SO well behaved and made me so proud. Spencer even sat on that little stool by himself and let the hygienist take x-rays of his teeth!

Thankfully we got a great report. The dentist said he didn’t see any discoloration of the top tooth yet and that his bottom lip was healing nicely despite the “deep laceration” he had.
We’re still watching the tooth to make sure it doesn’t turn gray but hopeful we’re in the clear for a pearly white! yay!
Welcome back! Hope you all had a great long weekend. We had a fantastic one celebrating our new 4 year old!! Now to recap it all starting with his first big present from Susan on Thursday of last week. Susan knows how to make Maxwell happy, that’s for sure! She brought over this giant orange present and he was about to burst having to wait to open it.
She finally agreed and he tore into it…
and found another box! Mrs. Susan’s tricky like that! 🙂
Then he finally got to the good stuff and what did he find?
Only the BEST and most official fireman uniform ever!!!
He has worn it every single day since and could not love it more. Especially the whistle that came with it…let’s just say Momma could maybe stand to “accidentally lose” the whistle! 🙂
Maxwell nicely suggested that since he now has a “real” fireman uniform, Spencer could dress up in his old one. When Spencer realized big brother was letting him wear the red fireman coat, he almost burst he was so proud. He couldn’t believe it honestly. And now he’s had that red coat on every day since too!
We’re ready to fight some fires over here for sure!!

Last week we went back to Family Night at The Club and had a blast! They had a face painter there along with the kid DJ and both boys loved it. Maxwell couldn’t wait to get his face painted like an elephant! The lady had to look up how to do an elephant but I’d say she did a great job!
Maxwell was super pleased!
Spencer just got a little something on his hand – their recommendation for the under 3 set…
The boys were loving it!
Robert and I were then able to eat a great meal (that I didn’t have to cook!) while the boys ran and danced all over the light-up dance floor. A win win for all!
Even Robert got in on the dancing!
