Happy Monday! We’ve got a 90% chance of rain every day from now until Saturday. Boo hiss boo hiss. Good thing we had a BEAUTIFUL weekend to hold us over.
We stuck around here and had ice cream with friends…

actually made it out to dinner (early bird 5:15 special!)…
and the boys went to church.

They’re back! Monthly photos all over again! Samantha at one month old…
Maxwell at one month and Spencer at one month to compare…
So far, she looks much more like Maxwell than Spencer to me. She’s got these big ole eyes that she’s always got WIDE open checking things out around her.
Ha! those eyes! She gets that look on her face a lot like she just can’t believe these crazy people around her are actually her family. 🙂
She really is a sweet little baby and, as I keep saying, came out ready to be the 3rd kid! She’s been pretty flexible and takes great naps in her car seat which is good because we are on the go with big brothers!
She’s starting to stretch her feedings out to every 4 hours. She usually eats 6 times during a 24 hour period. I’m working on getting her on a schedule where she will eat around 10pm and then only get up once in the night around 3:30am. She’s doing pretty good with that but still keeps trying to wake up around 6am which is a little early to get things going! I’d rather her sleep until 7am so I can stretch that morning nap out until 11am or so. She’s still sleeping in our room but has been spending most of the night in her Rock N Play chair instead of just in the bed on me.
Her brothers LOVE her. I mean, LOVE her. Maxwell can’t get enough of her and really wants to her to be awake all the time so he can love on her. Spencer is crazy about the “bee-bee” and loves to poke all over her face. He thinks it’s the funniest thing to poke her in the cheek! Â She sure is lucky to have such good brothers.
I got this cute bunny for our monthly photos but she needs a name! Any ideas? Maxwell had Big Al and Spencer had Bear Bryant so we’ve kind of got an AL theme going. Any bunny name ideas? Â Although Miss Samantha was skeptical of the bunny at first…
I think she’s is going to end up liking her bunny friend!  🙂
Overall, life is grand. The first month has just been awesome and I’m still just so shocked and thrilled and everything else that she’s a GIRL. A dream come true for real.

Just a few more pictures from our week in Naples…
I definitely think a change of scenery and some warm weather did us all good! But, as wonderful as it was to be down there (seriously, when are we going back?!), it was just as wonderful to get back home and see Robert! Nothing like a running, Spencey hug as a greeting!

So, last Sunday, the kids and I hopped a plane down to Naples!
I flew by myself with all 3 kids and it really wasn’t bad at all. Robert was able to go to the gate with us in Birmingham and then we had a direct flight to Tampa where GJ was waiting to load us up into the car to drive to Naples! The boys got an A+ on the trip and Samantha snoozed through her first plane ride! Success!
Once we got to warm, sunshiny Naples, it didn’t take us long to get on our short sleeves and head outside!
We spent a full week down there and managed to fill our days with a good mix of plenty of fun and a whole lot of doing nothing! Perfect! We definitely hit up the beach…
but the boys honestly loved the pool more.
Both boys did a great job swimming. Spencer would stand on the steps and swim to me and then swim over to the ladder, climb out, and do it all again – about 50 times in a row! Maxwell is a bona fide swimmer now and I barely had to help him at all. Our second day out he even took some dive sticks and would dive down to the bottom of the pool to get them. I was SO proud of both of them!
Other exciting outings included a trip to throw money in the fountains…
Skillets for pancakes…
and a visit to the movies! We saw Paddington Bear and, I have to say, it was a really, really cute movie.
Mostly, we just enjoyed doing plenty of this…
and hanging with these people!
As Maxwell said to me one day at the pool, “The water is warm, the music is singing, and everything is just delightful!” I couldn’t have agreed more! Now, when are we going back?!
