Make it a great day!
First, happy birthday to Aunt Jen today! We hope it’s a great birthday!!
Second, my Timehop app pulled up the picture I took the day after Spencer “busted open his whole mouf“. I realized Spencer was wearing the same shirt exactly one year later and I couldn’t help comparing…

Still so thankful he didn’t do any major damage to his teeth with that fall!
This kid is a hoot. He loves to give kisses and hugs. He loves to beat up on his brother and poke him in the eye. He loves to sing the song from the library to his sister “Where is Samantha? Where is Samantha? There she is! There she is! Glad to see you. Glad to see you. Peekaboo. I see you!” He loves to eat the breading off of his corn dog. He loves his bee-bee juice. He loves the iPad. He loves to be a lion. He loves his fire truck shirts. He loves to sing the blessing at dinner and his ‘aaaah-men’ at the end always sounds like “ooooh man!” He loves to be tickled. More tickle?!

I look at him every day and wonder where he came from. Man, I love him.
My baby boy is growing up. Sniff sniff.
As I mentioned yesterday, we took the kids to get ice cream on Saturday. Maxwell went for Superman with whipped cream on top…

Spencer wanted plain “banilla”…

But then he started complaining because he wanted to be able to lick it and, well, you can’t lick it if it’s in a bowl. Yea, we all felt like this about that…

Crazy Spencey. So, because I’m a sucker and wanted to avoid a melt down, we just ordered him another scoop of “banilla” on a cone this time. Happy camper.

Of course, that just allowed him to eat a little bit of both. Lick of ice cream here, bite of waffle cone bowl here.

Yea, he knew he made out good in that deal!

Meanwhile, Baby Mantha was just wondering where her ice cream was…

I told her she didn’t get any and she did not like that answer.

Not at all.

Poor baby Mantha.

So, because I already told you I’m a sucker, I gave her a tiny little taste of Spencer’s “banilla.” (He had plenty to share!)

That made her really happy!

In the end, everyone was happy…

and there was plenty of ice cream for everyone.

I scream…

You scream…

We all scream for ice cream!
Happy Monday! So, the countdown is on around here! We’ve got 6 days until Maxwell’s birthday party, 13 days until his actual birthday and Samantha’s baptism, and 14 days until school starts! Lots of fun to look forward to! In the meantime around here…
We’ve had a few slightly cooler temps so have been enjoying the outside…

We’re all getting ready for a SUPER birthday party coming up this weekend…

On Saturday we hit up Lowe’s bright and early…

which always provides entertainment!

Then Maxwell worked hard helping Dad outside…

Spencer worked hard being the opposite of helpful…

and kept trying to touch all the power tools…

but at least he had his helmet on for safety! ha! It wasn’t all work though, they did play with their magic sand…

and then got to get ice cream as a treat!

We had a lazy Sunday and skipped church but Maxwell did get to go on a special date with Mrs. Susan to see The Sound of Music at the Alabama Theater!

Do re mi! A great weekend for all!
Water balloon fun!

Watch out Spencey!

Bomb!

Enjoying the last days of summer!
