Sunday at the beach was a much prettier day! We got up and got going to get in some good beach time!
Samantha had said she wasn’t going to get in the ocean because she’s afraid of sharks…but that didn’t last!

We took a mid-day break from the heat to get lunch at The Gulf…

On Maxwell’s birthday, we drove down to Orange Beach for the long weekend with Robert’s family. It was a long drive down but we finally got there about 10pm. We were not happy to wake up on Saturday and see this!
Thankfully it cleared up a little that afternoon and we got some beach time in! Hooray!
Unfortunately the beach time also came with some jellyfish stings – which was a recurring theme all weekend!
Thankfully she survived and we had fun.
That night it was pizza, AL football and the baby in the condo – Maxwell was in heaven!

Spencer is enjoying being the big man on campus this year in 6th grade. I know it’s going to be a fun year for this class…
I’m so proud of him and know it’s going to be a great year.

Our Mountain Brook community was so happy to welcome home Lulu, the 15 year old that was attached by a shark earlier this summer. The town has been decked out in purple bows all summer and everyone went to the streets to cheer her on in a little parade. The kids (mainly Samantha) had fun and went all out.
Proud to live in a place that supports their own in such a caring way.
