Have a great day!
Well, not really a goal but still a great soccer game all around! Spencer might not have scored but he’s still a soccer star in my book because he hustled, he played, and he had fun!! Such a big difference from the first games of the season!

Maxwell was a huge help to Robert getting the balls out the net and grabbing them as they went out of bounds. He got his workout in!

Samantha was actually very well behaved too! Thanks to a cup of goldfish, she sat in the chair and watched for a long time! When she was up, she was just walking around to everyone making new friends! Β π

When the game was over, the team huddled up for one final cheer and baby couldn’t help but get all up in there too!

I’m so, so proud of Spencer! Especially when Robert looked at the roster and realized he’s the second youngest on his team. He’s doing his best out there and we loved watching him run his heart out! Thumbs up for this soccer stud!

Ever since Spencer was a baby, his allergies have given him issues. Evidence here and here. His eyes get super red and itchy but, the worst part, is that he can’t breathe. He has allergy induced asthma and he’s been on Singular for over a year to manage it. We also started a daily inhaler recently. Dr. Walley said that, at this point, we should get him allergy tested and check into the possibility of weekly shots to try and reduce his symptoms and get him off of some of these meds.
Last week we went up for the testing. We stopped off for a cake pop on the way…I thought he deserved a treat before we even got started!

The allergy doctor has a good waiting room which entertained Spencer plenty…

then we got into the cool dinosaur room and waited…

and waited and waited and waited.

A full hour and 15 minutes after our appointment time, the doctor finally came in. They tested Spencer for a variety of trees, grasses, dogs and cats. He really was so brave and did so well for all of it.

But, when those allergens started to react – poor, poor buddy. He just wanted to scratch them all so bad!! I spent the next 20 minutes trying to distract him and blowing on his back.

The nurse finally came in and recorded the “scores”. He got a +4 (the highest level!) on all the trees and grasses. Whoa. The allergy doctor – who has been doing this for years and seen has 1000s of patients – was even a little shocked at how inflamed they were and the fact that he was only 3 years old! He definitely recommended starting the allergy shots asap. The idea is that the shots will hopefully help him wean off of the daily meds he’s having to take now and hopefully eliminate the issues with asthma.
We went back up this week on Wednesday for the first round of shots. Spencer was incredibly well-behaved and did SO well during the shots. Here he is showing me his 3 bandaids….

and saying, “Momma, I was re-wee brave!!”

Yes, he was really brave. I hate he’s having to do this but am just hopeful it will help. One round of shots down…only 3 to 5 years to go!
Have a great weekend!
Playing baseball is fun…watching baseball is maybe not as much fun. At least not when you’re 1 and 3!! I had my work cut out for me entertaining Spencer and Samantha during practices and games this t-ball season. But, we made it. Luckily we had some extra spectators with us for the final game to help entertain the crew. We love getting to see baby Margaret!
This is how it all looked from the cheap seats…

I’d say Maxwell had some pretty good cheerleaders up in the stands! Goooooo A’s!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – it’s good to be momma around here! I had all sorts of fun treats waiting for me on Sunday morning…

My crew sure does know how to spoil me. π
After breakfast we loaded up and drove down to Montgomery for lunch with Robert’s family. The boys were super excited to see their cousins and we had a wonderful time.

I tried to get a pic or two of Samantha in her cute dress (that Susu nicely hemmed for her!) but she wasn’t having it…

she wanted to get inside…

and eat!

Once that food got in her mouth she was a happy camper the rest of the day! We had a great brunch and got lots of good pictures of the family!

The whole gang!

After lunch, we went over to Ronnie and Jenny’s for a while and got in a nice, long visit!

We then got in the (very hot!) car to drive home and Spencer started melting down because he wanted shade. So, I made some shade for him….

Funny boy.
It was a great day with some of my favorite people!

Happy Mother’s Day!
