Christmas concert

The boys had their Christmas concert at school this week. They performed it 3 days – the first day was just for the other students so we went a little more casual…

and the next two days were for parents so we stepped it up a notch! I was pretty proud to find these nice pullovers at Vineyard Vines on Tuesday and the boys were pretty happy not to have to wear a button down! Samantha even got to go watch the performance with me. Despite being VERY concerned that she couldn’t see the stage, I think she enjoyed it.

Christmas Parade

Like last year, Maxwell got to walk in the village Christmas Parade with the boy scouts. Also, like last year, Samantha wore her green polka dot dress! ha!

It was an unseasonably warm and muggy day – but at least it wasn’t raining! Lots of fun floats to see and plenty of candy to get!

Tis the season!

Two weeks ago we got together with some friends to watch the SEC Championship game. When we got to our friend’s house, they boys disappeared and we didn’t know what they were up to. Then they ran out right before kick-off and gave us all a good laugh!

The game was a tense one and it wasn’t looking good for AL. But, in a story better than a movie, our formerly first string now backup QB came in and saved the day just the way our now first string formerly backup QB had saved the day in last year’s National Championship Game! Go Tua and Jalen!

Oh Christmas Tree

On an unseasonably warm and muggy Sunday last weekend, we got our Christmas tree!

We got it in the house and it was a leeeeeeetle tall!

Nothing some snipping shears won’t fix!

After having colored lights in 2014, 2015, and 2016, and then going back to all white lights last year, we decided to add back in some different colored lights again. We also moved it to a new location. The kids were big helpers putting all of the ornaments on.

Final Highlands

We started Saturday morning with a cup of hot chocolate – the best!

After some morning rain, we finally got out to do an easy hike on Satula and burn off some energy with the Woods. Spencer managed to find every single puddle on the way up and down! ha!

When we came back down the mountain, look what we saw! Spencer is MAJOR into all the Jurassic movies right now.

We then watched a great Iron Bowl that night. Roll Tide! Sunday morning it was time to pack up and head out. We had a pretty easy drive home – despite some crazy drivers around Atlanta. It was a wonderful trip all around! Big thanks to Lou Lou and Granddaddy for everything!
