When Robert took this cute sleepy eyed pic on Father’s Day morning, he had no idea the fun that was in store for him!

Somehow I convinced him to make it a family fun day and go to the water park right outside of town, Alabama Splash Adventure. Yes, a water park. Burning hot sun, scorching concrete, blazing hot innertubes. Just what every father wants on Father’s Day!

This father is the best though and he put on a happy face and created the most fun day that the kids will never forget! We rode all the slides…well, Maxwell and Robert rode all of the slides. Samantha wasn’t tall enough for a lot of them and Spencer was about a half inch to short for the big one! But, Robert rode it…

Maxwell rode it…

and even I rode it!

Lightning fast fun!! Spencer would have ridden it if he could have just fluffed his hair up a little bit more!

There was plenty to keep everyone entertained though…

We had a lunch appropriate for a water park – chicken fingers, pizza, and hot dogs. Robert even introduced the kids to Mountain Dew…hey, when in Rome, right?!

It was a full day and I’m not sure what burned my eyes more – the people watching or the chlorine! ha! In all honesty, it was really fun. The kids loved it. Robert and I might have even enjoyed ourselves more than we’d like to admit. 🙂

By the late afternoon we were all worn out from the fun.

Robert, you get major points for this one!!!

We love you and your sense of (splash!) adventure!
Yesterday we celebrated the very best dad in all the land by going…to a water park. Oh yes, he’s so nice that he spent his Father’s Day swimming in the wave pool, floating down the lazy river, and zooming down the slides with all of us. He is the best.

He keeps us in line, he keeps us laughing, and he keeps our house full of love! We love you Robert!!

Happy Father’s day to Daddo and Granddaddy too! We love you!
