Strawberries

Last weekend when the boys went to play golf, Samantha and I went to pick strawberries…with matching hair-dos no less!

We drove out to Jerry Marsh farms and each got a basket to fill up!

I’m glad we got there early – there were still plenty of ripe berries for us to pick and it wasn’t too crowded yet. Samantha was good at finding the best ones!!

It was a little muddy but we managed…

Meanwhile, the boys had a great morning and Spencer even got a birdie! woohoo!

Waterfall

Last week we took a short little afternoon hike and finally got to see a waterfall – from the front and the back! The main part of the hike to Falling Rock Falls was a boring gravel trail…

but then we finally turned off onto a real trail and some streams…

A few parts were a little treacherous…

but then we made it to this!

And we could even go behind it into this cool cavern!

We even found Garfield under that waterfall!

It was a great way to spend the afternoon once elearning was finished. On our way back into town we even stopped by the DQ for some blizzards. Can’t beat that!!

Clean cut

Robert was looking pretty shaggy and decided it was time for a haircut. Since he’s the best dad ever, he decided to let the kids give him a trim!

They all got some good laughs in and took turns with the clippers.

Unfortunately, clippers aren’t quite as foolproof as you’d think. Oops!!

Definitely not the best haircut he’s had but, hey, you get what you pay for!! 🙂

Dinner

We’re obviously eating at home now more than ever. What better time to get the kids in on the cooking! Each kid picked a meal they wanted to make and we had three great dinners!
