Remember how the kids won first place for film making at their school in the Expressions Art contest? Well they also won at the district level! Woohoo!

They took home 3rd place for the district which is all 4 elementary schools.

So proud of my filmmakers!
It was a sunshiny beautiful day at the ball park for opening day of the season! Woohoo! Both boys played fantastic. Spencer’s team blew out the other team and he had a great hit each time up to bat! Maxwell’s team didn’t take home a win but Maxwell made it to base both times up to bat even if it was off a walk – kid pitch is different!

Both boys also got to score! Can’t beat that!

We sure missed baseball last spring and are so happy to be playing! I think my ballpark baby was even happy to be there and run all around with the siblings.

We also had a special spectator! Even better when Granddaddy is there to watch.

Go Yankees! Go Rays! Let’s play ball!
See ya later basketball! Baseball is back!

We sure missed getting to play last spring and are looking forward to a fun season!
This year Spencer played on an OTM basketball team. It’s another competitive league in Birmingham and we were pretty excited to get him on a team. It was a fun season and the team improved dramatically from the beginning to the end! We ended up skipping the opening tournament before Christmas as we were trying to stay covid free for our post Christmas trip to Naples (that didn’t work out!) but then we made it to all the other games except one because we were finally in Naples! Spencer enjoyed it and that’s what matters.

The boys lost their first 5 games but then went on a 3 game winning streak to end the season in 6th place out of 10 teams. We were so proud of them! They started playing together as a team so well by the end of the season. Spencer was the best at those jump shots and could sink some free throws too! They also had some sharp looking uniforms!

Love this little baller!

The most fun was that they beat the MB Green “B” team and the MB Ballers! They ended up being the #2 MB team behind MB Black which won the championship. Go boys!

Spencer does love basketball and I’m happy he’s getting the chance to play! Go MB Magic!!
