Maxwell and Jack did pretty much everything together at camp, as usual. I did enjoy the counselor’s letters home. He called them the “dynamic duo” and said “his great friendship with Jack has given the cabin a fun and lighthearted environment.” Love it!!
Some more pictures of the dynamic duo paddling in a canoe…
The last week we finally saw Maxwell in a kayak! Woohoo! He earned his yaklet and got to tackle the whitewater in a kayak. So proud of him. We were all wondering why Jack wasn’t out there too and later learned that he got hit with the terrible stomach bug that was going all through camp. Yuck! Hate that Jack missed this trip but go Maxwell go!
After three weeks I sure was glad to pick up my buddy! We got to park and walk in this year and it was nice to see his cabin, meet his new friends, and see the sign he made!
His counselor also pulled me aside to tell me what a good kid Maxwell is and how much he enjoyed having him in his cabin. He said he’s such a humble kid and was always putting his cabin mates needs above his own. He said everyone loved having him in their cabin. That’s my Maxwell!
We then made (yet another) drive between NC and AL!
Thanks for another great year Falling Creek! We’ll be back in July with Spencer!
