The 4th grade does a play for Alabama History and it was fantastic!! All of the kids play a different “famous” Alabamian. Spencer was given the role of Chief Tuskaloosa and he worked for months to learn his lines. He was ready for dress rehearsal the week of the big performance…
I even convinced him to wear my moccasins…
but I didn’t actually get to see his full costume with the headdress until the play and…wow!! To be clear, I asked the teachers if it was appropriate to wear this costume and they said that since Spencer is representing an actual historical figure that it is ok. Ok!
I was so so proud of how well he did his part! He knew his lines, spoke clearly and slowly and loudly! Go Chief Tuskaloosa!
There were so many cute scenes and costumes. All of the kids really did great and it was so entertaining!
They even had Lionel Richie dancing on the ceiling!
The whole group sang Cheeseburger in Paradis with Jimmy Buffet, Tammy Wynette had a solo, and so did Nat King Cole! Quite the performances!
We were so glad Susan got to come watch the show!
With Henry deSoto!
Go Chief Tuskaloosa!
I loved it so much I went back for the afternoon performance too! Spencer nailed his part again!
So proud of all the 4th graders!
