Last weekend we made the drive to NC again for some important camp stuff! First we took Samantha to visit Camp Greystone.
It was a HIT! Samantha was all about it and wanted to just stay for the rest of the summer! I’m so glad it worked out for us to do a tour. Getting to actually see the camp is going to make her even more excited to go next summer. Sewing, jewelry making, gymnastics, giant water slides, an impressive ropes course – it was all pretty awesome. I think the cooking class where the girls were making homemade pasta was maybe the most awesome!
We also got to see lots of the animals on the farm…
and the puppy farm!
Overall it was a great tour and the next morning we dropped Spencey off for two weeks of fun at Falling Creek!!
Miss him but know he’s having so much fun.
We had such a good time with these fun friends…
And enjoyed a little kid-free time! Thanks GJ!
It was pretty funny when Robert and I took the Boston Whaler out and got totally lost on the lake! Thank goodness for GPS and a cell phone with 10% battery left!! My skipper on my 3 hour tour…
Overall it was a really fun trip full of fun Canadian things, like Tim Horton’s! Also, next time I travel internationally, I’m getting Global Entry. This customs line is for the birds…
Thankfully we had plenty of time and made it back home to the babies with no problem! A great trip indeed!
Robert and I were invited to travel to Ahmic Lake in Canada to spend a few days with some friends and it was wonderful! It was a looooong trip up…13 hours! We flew from Birmingham to New York to Toronto and then drove 3 hours.
But, when we got there, this view greeted us!
Combine that with highs in the mid-70s and it was glorious! There were boat rides…
There was water skiing…
There was paddle boarding…
Most fun of all? There was adventure jumping off the boat house!
That lead to treasure hunting for Apple Watches that made their way into the lake! Unfortunately, no treasures were found!
Lots and lots of fun in Canada! More tomorrow!
We had the very best GJ in the world in Birmingham for the past two weeks. We loved every second of having her here! She kept the kids while Robert and I went on a fun trip and they didn’t miss us one bit. Well, Samantha might have missed me a little bit but GJ handled my little drama queen with no issues! The kids spent every night at her house even after we got back. They obviously love having her around as much as I do! She might have even earned herself a new title while in town, Assistant to the President of the PTO! A very prestigious title indeed!!
She headed back to Florida yesterday and we’re already ready for her to come back! The President needs her right hand lady!
Thanks for everything GJ. What would we do without you?!
