Scouts
Maxwell went on another scout campout a few weeks ago and had a great time! Robert joined in on this one too.
They were originally supposed to go on a two day campout that included some sort of hiking but that got changed so they ended up at the indoor climbing place to work on that badge. Maxwell wasn’t complaining!
Spencer also completed his Bear year but I have no photos of that so here’s a pic of him in his uniform back in November that I don’t think I ever shared!
Samantha continues to do Girl Scouts!
Hope they are all learning to always be prepared!
Hives
Spencer has always had sensitive skin and really bad allergies. The pollen this season has been out of control but he’s actually been handling it well…until last week! He came home from school saying he was itching all over. He took off his shirt and he was covered in hives!
I gave him some Benadryl while waiting for the doctor to call me back. He said Benadryl is fine but better to just rotate other allergy meds – Claritin, allegra, zyrtec, etc – twice a day. I was hoping he’d be better by the next day but this is what he looked like the next morning…
Poor buddy! He was COVERED. His entire legs were basically one giant hive. I took him up to the doctor and she said it was just allergies and the hives are worse when your body gets warm – which makes sense since he had been snuggled under his covers all night. We continued the twice a day antihistamine and also added in a pepcid because that also blocks histamine. By the next day he was much better and back to school!
Poor Spencey had hives when he was a baby too. It was scary then and scary now! We need to get back going on allergy shots I guess. Go away pollen!
Sunday
Sunday best…
Looking sharp!
Night out
Last week Robert took the boys to their annual Barons night out with his office.
They had plenty of fun…and plenty of junk food!
Samantha and I decided to have a girl’s night out and had dinner at Bricktop’s! I think our food was definitely better!
A night on the town for all!
Barons night out: 2015, 2016, 2017 when Spencer got lost, 2018, 2019, no 2020 thanks to Covid, and then 2021!
