This baseball season started out strong and I know the boys were both going to have a great time on their teams. However, the world had different ideas and the season got cut short. Sad but not too sad in the grand scheme of things. The nice thing about no baseball? More time for family dinners at home during the week and hiking and golfing on the weekends! We sure do miss baseball though and hope to be out there this summer getting some hits and runs in!
I did have a few more pictures from the very short season to share…
Take me out to the ballgame…hopefully sometime soon!
As I mentioned before, the boys worked so hard on their pinewood derby cars and I’m so sad the derby got cancelled…or hopefully just postponed for who knows when! These awesome cars deserve to be raced!!
The planning started months ago…
And then the cutting and painting and decorating began!
As with every project, there were a few snags in the process. The biggest was some wind that blew a garbage bag and messed up Maxwell’s carefully applied second coat of paint…
But, nothing a little muscle and sand paper can’t take care of!
Soon he was back in business and making it look as good as ever!
Meanwhile, Spencer’s progressed nicely…and I might have helped too much but I just can’t help myself. He was pleased!
They then got wheels on and weights added…
and these cars are ready to race!! Introducing, “Cavallino”…
and Bullet Bill!
Can’t wait to see these cars on the track!
Now more than ever I’m so grateful we live in the neighborhood we do. Plenty of space to ride bikes, lots of good streets for walks, and open space to play! You can’t really beat walking to the local soda shop to pick up a sandwich for lunch…
or biking to the local ice cream store for a treat!
Life’s not so bad when you’re quarantined in our hood!
Scenes from a quarantine!
Craft projects galore…
Lots of at home workouts – and our new Peloton!
Coloring, coloring and more coloring…
Lots of outside adventures…
Matching masks thanks to GJ…
Banana bread, toys, and games…lots of games!
Completed projects, golfers, and lots of tv time…
and lots and lots of fun time together!
Going on day 35 and still making the best of it! Have a great weekend!
