The kids’ Christmas is officially kicked off! They had their “Happy Birthday Jesus” party yesterday and couldn’t have had more fun!
They read the Christmas story out of the children’s bible and then got ready to celebrate! Of course, that started with some awesomely wrapped gifts for all!
The boys were so excited to get Spidey pjs and some fantastic dinosaurs!!
Baby Mantha got a sweet monogrammed bib and a puzzle but I think she liked all the wrapping paper best! Β π
The party finished up with lunch from, where else? Moe’s! and then the birthday cake! Best Christmas party ever!
As always, we are beyond grateful and thankful for Mrs. Susan and the way she loves these babies!!
Happy Birthday Jesus!
4 days and counting! We’ve been having all sorts of Christmas fun around here! We’ve been doing our Lego Advent calendars…
We went to the drive-through Christmas lights…
Samantha and I had a fun holiday lunch with Robert’s family….
where we got to see baby Margaret…
and even made her smile! Β π
We’ve made hot chocolate…
and eaten plenty of marshmallows with it!
Maxwell went to a gingerbread house decorating party at James’ grandmother’s house…
Spencer has worn his Santa shirts almost every day….
We’ve baked cookies, listened to Christmas songs, and wrapped lots of presents! We’re ready for the big day! Ho Ho Ho!
ps – I guess all Samantha really wanted for Christmas was her two front teeth because they are popping through!
So, this year we had an elf come visit us for the Christmas season. I didn’t think we were going to get an elf but then Maxwell went to Lila’s house and learned all about her elf and kept asking why we didn’t have one. Wouldn’t you know it, an elf came to visit just a few days later! Funny how that works. Everyone, meet Gingerbread Elf…
This silly elf has been having some fun in our house.
I have to say, I’ve really loved having Gingerbread around because Maxwell gets SO excited about him. Each morning he has rushed downstairs to see where Gingerbread is and has usually come running back to me to say “Momma, you are NOT going to believe this!” Β π
Maxwell loved the morning Gingerbread was being chased by some of his animals.
By the time we left for school, the boys had added a few more animals to the herd!
I think this day was Spencer’s favorite – throughout the morning he managed to eat all those marshmallows off the table!
This morning was my personal favorite!
I mean…have you ever seen 3 cuter elves?!
The boys have been really good to follow the rules and not touch Gingerbread so he won’t lose his magic.
Of course, Gingerbread has been good to them too and even brought presents one morning!
Gingerbread has been a welcome addition to the Christmas traditions!
Can’t wait to see where this crazy elf is tomorrow!
On Tuesday, Maxwell had his Christmas Program up at school and it was precious. They do a very shortened version of the Christmas story with lots of good singing! The boys were dressed in their holiday attire and looking Christmas cool!
Silly boys.
Susan very nicely went up early to save us good seats and then I brought Samantha up after she woke up from her nap. She was looking Christmas cute! Β π
Maxwell did a great job during the program and took his job very seriously. He stood perfectly still and concentrated on all his songs! Here’s a link to the video if you really want to see.
Maxwell said his favorite song was “Oh Come All Ye Faithful”.
I’m so thankful for his sweet school and all that they do. Here’s Maxwell with Ms. Edwards…
and with some of his classmates, Anna, Joseph and David…
and here’s my crew after the program.
Three little Christmas angels right there!
