Happy Friday all!
Make it a GREAT weekend!
My sweet babies…
Cute, wonderful, and precious x 3!
We haven’t started feeding Samantha real food yet, but last week we did give her a little taste of an orange! We had some orange slices at dinner so just handed her one and she was hilarious. The faces she was making were cracking us up. She wasn’t quite so sure of it at first but ended up really liking it and did quite a good job eating all that orange!
Adventures in eating!
Maxwell has been working hard and saved up his allowance again! Last weekend he counted out all of his money and checked out various Lego sets with Robert on the iPad.
He really wanted to get the whole Lego City Fire Station but that one is $90! I told him that might be a good birthday present to ask for. He agreed and went with the Lego City Fire Emergency. Last time, he got to go to Toys R Us and pick out a toy, but the store didn’t have this Lego set so we ordered it off Amazon. Not only is he learning to save up for something, but he’s also learning about delayed gratification! It took that Lego set a whole TWO days to get to him. Β π He was so excited when it came in!
Then he and Robert put it all together on Saturday. Robert really just supervised…Maxwell followed the directions and did it all himself!
As soon as it was built, he went upstairs and put it in his drawer! ha! He REALLY didn’t want Spencer to get it and break it. Sweet boy. So proud of him!
The other great thing about this is that it got the boys to pull out the other Lego Duplo sets we have and play with them all weekend. They built some impressive stuff!
Lego fun!
On Friday of last week we had some very special visitors! Just like last year and the year before that, Hannah and her crew stopped through Birmingham on their way to the beach! Hooray! We always love seeing Hannah and it’s such a treat to see her kids too. I’m so happy she finally got to meet Samantha and I got to squeeze on cute Caroline! Β π
Caroline could not get enough of Baby Mantha…
Baby Mantha wasn’t quite so sure about all the people in her house though! ha!
Poor baby was worn out from all the stimulation by the time everyone left! They just stopped through, had some lunch, played in the playroom and then hit the road again. It obviously wasn’t long enough but I’m so glad I got to hug Hannah’s neck and see Ryan and the kids.
These babies are just growing too fast…
I’ve known Hannah over 20 years now and I still feel like we should be in high school cruising around town and staying out of trouble (always). But instead, here we are, “middle aged” and driving mini-vans (ahem, only one of us and not me :)!) and trying to keep up with all these kids…
Man, we’re lucky. Old friends really are the best friends. Love you, Hannah!
