Always loving our Honey Bee Tees!
Have a great weekend!
Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...
A few weeks ago, Maxwell got to go to Kate’s birthday party at the Zoo! fun! We got to pet some animals, ride the carousel and the train and play with friends! When the party was over, Spencer, Maxwell and I headed out on the Trails of Africa to check out the elephants, giraffes and lions!
It was a fun…and HOT…afternoon! 🙂
8 months. What a perfect age. I feel like when you picture a chubby, happy, smiling baby, you are probably picturing an 8 month old. And if you’re picturing MY 8 month old? Well, that’s a pretty good picture! Spencer could not be sweeter or happier. I cannot believe how much I love this snuggly little boy.
Maxwell at 8 months old…
Both sweet as can be!
Spencer is just a good baby. He’s super smiley (as evidenced in these pictures!) and has such a happy disposition. We’ve had some crying during nap time this week but that’s because this poor little guy is busting through his second tooth on the bottom. Even with the teething pain, all he needs is a little rocking, a paci (and maybe a small dose of Tylenol!) and he’s back to smiling again.
Belly laughs!
He gets up every morning around 6:30 and just plays in his bed until we go get him up. There’s nothing better than walking into his room and seeing his little head pop up over the bumpers with the biggest grin you’ve ever seen! He naps around 9:00 for about 2 hours and then again around 1:00. No rocking for naps. We just put him in the bed with his beloved orange paci and he goes on to sleep. At night, I feed him and put him to bed each around 7:00. He’s still nursing 4 times a day and eating solids twice a day – usually fruit and oatmeal at lunch and vegetable and oatmeal at night. We’ve also started giving him some finger foods – puffs and yogurt melts for now.
He’s not crawling yet but is getting up on his hands and knees. He can roll around to get just about anywhere he needs to be though!
This guy is the wiggliest and squirmiest baby I have ever seen. Changing his diaper and getting him dressed should really be a 2 man operation! He does. not. lay. still. ever. Such a difference from Maxwell who would always lay still on the changing table and never move.
Loving Bear Bryant!
Spencer is a snuggler. He loves to snuggle his head into my shoulder when I’m rocking him. In his bed, he sleeps all snuggled up to the bumper every night. He’s usually even got one arm wrapped up on the bumper like he’s hugging it!
As I’ve said before, I don’t know what I did to get this lovable little baby but I’ll take him!
Happy 8 months sweet Spencer! We love you!

A quick trip to Walmart can produce a lot of fun when you bring home one of these things to play with in the yard!
Don’t worry Spencey, you’ll get to play in it soon enough!
Summatime!
We had a great Father’s Day weekend and were so happy to get to do some fun stuff with Dad! On Friday we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant. Maxwell has started calling it a “mexaurant” which I think is awesome. We go to a mexaurant pretty much every Friday night!
Saturday morning we hit up the Pepper Place Farmer’s Market…
and we even saw our friend Jack there! fun!
That afternoon we did a little swimming…
and Maxwell loved having Dad at the pool with us. He’s way more fun than Momma when it comes to pool tricks!
On Sunday Robert got some fun little Father’s Day gifts including a birdhouse painted by Maxwell himself! We found the perfect spot in the tree…
and Maxwell was pretty proud…even if he did think bugs were flying into his ears!
Looks perfect! Now we just need to see if a bird is going to come make it’s home there! 🙂
Hope you all had a good weekend too!
