Happy Monday! This past weekend we headed to Montgomery for Robert’s 20th High School reunion. Robert got to see some old friends, we both did a little birthday celebrating, and we all got to meet the newest member of the family! Robert’s sister, Mary Beth, had her baby on September 27th so we got to spend some time watching football with 6 day old Margaret Louisa Walls. What a treat!
The boys thought she was pretty neat.
She kept making little noises and Spencey said, “Baby Mah-get’s squeaking!” Β π
Baby Mantha wasn’t too pleased when I was holding Margaret. Jealous much?
We’re so glad she’s here safe and sound and happy to have another girl in the family born 8 months to the day after Samantha!
We also had some cake to celebrate 37 and 39! woohoo!
For the reunion, Robert and I stopped by the high school football game on Friday night. It was pretty cold with drizzly rain but still fun for Robert to see familiar faces and allow us both to wax nostalgic about the good ole days of Friday night lights, football, and cheerleading! An after party at Francie’s provided plenty of stories of days gone by and maybe even an embarrassing yet hilarious picture or two. On Saturday we went to the cocktail party at the school and enjoyed visiting with everyone.
It really was a good weekend with several fun things packed in. You know…20 years out of high school (well, 18 for me!) sure doesn’t look or feel as old as I used to think it would. Cheers!
It definitely was a packed week-end! My how big Samantha now looks next to Baby Margaret! So great to have another cousin!
Awesome time. So great to see a bunch of old friends. Big thanks to Stephanie for being the Sherpa on Friday bringing down those kiddos.
It is always good to look back at where you have been. It helps you look forward to where you want to go. What fun to see everyone and to enjoy Maxwell, Spencer and Samantha for a couple of days. Come back soon.
