Both boys had a fun spring baseball season even if it wasn’t their most winning season! Maxwell played on the 5th/6th grade combination rec league team. They had an independent coach lined up but, surprise, that fell through before practices even started. Robert and another dad, Charles, were asked to help “just at first with administration”…but obviously ended up being the full time coaches. The team was a bit like the Bad News Bears but Maxwell had some fantastic plays, pitched great, and had really good at-bats. I was very proud of him for persevering and playing his hardest! He’s a good ball player and he should stick with it!
The mighty Spartan Gray!
I don’t really care whether he wins or loses, I just love to watch him play!
Go Maxwell and go Coach Brown!!
Bravo to both Maxwell and Robert!
This reminds me of baseball at Dannelley . Mary Beth was very young and Ronnie and Robert had games. She played or slept in her stroller! I would work concessions or cook hot dogs and hamburgers. They were the best!
Robert is a great coach, he has patience and knowledge to do a great job. None of this happens without Mom’s support as well , thanks Steph!
Watching Maxwell play is a highlight of my day. Win or lose he’s playing good ball. He’a smart, plays hard and just “gets it.”
